Month of Mud Race Series
Western Pennsylvania’s oldest and largest off-road race series for racers, by racers. Established way back in 1989 by our long-time mechanic and friend, Gary Bywaters aka The Sheriff. Gary was a great guy who loved racing, fixing bikes and officiating local races like the crits at the Oval and this race series. The Month of Mud is a very unique race series. We don’t focus on just one style of racing. We have a cyclocross race, two cross country races, a short-track cross-country race and a downhill time trial. You can compete in as many races as you wish or compete in all the races and qualify for the series championship. We welcome racers of all ages and abilities, there are 15+ classes to choose from. All the races are held within a 50-mile radius from downtown Pittsburgh. We’re pleased to continue sponsor the Month of Mud and you can check out the series here.
